As a result of the determination of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev, the heroism of the victorious Azerbaijani Army, our lands were liberated from occupation, Azerbaijan won a great victory in the Patriotic War.

Our brave Army, heroic soldiers and officers, who made history in the 44-day war, demonstrated to the whole world Azerbaijan's steadfastness in the struggle for justice, determination to win, and high military potential of Azerbaijani Army on the battlefield.

Among the participants of the Great Patriotic War were also employees of the Ministry of Economy. By the relevant Decrees of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan one group of them - specialist of Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park Nasibov Asaf Safarali oglu (posthumously), employees of the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy Bagirov Javid Malik oglu, Gafarli Sarkhan Gudrat oglu, Abasov Rashad Barat oglu, employee of the State Service on Property Issues under the Ministry of Economy Tagiyev Olkhan Arif oglu, employees of “Tamiz Shahar” OJSC Abbasov Musa Ziraddin oglu, Demirli Elmaddin Mubariz oglu were awarded the title of “Brave Warrior” for their bravery demonstrated in the battles, and another employee of the State Service on Property Issues under the Ministry of Economy Aliyev Nemaddin Sadraddin oglu was awarded the medal  "For Distinction in Battle".
