Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Mikail Jabbarov met with the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the country Bakhrom Ashrafkhanov.
The Minister wished the ambassador success in his diplomatic activities and stressed that the Azerbaijani-Uzbek relations are developing successfully. Mutual official visits and talks between the heads of state are important in the development of bilateral cooperation. It was noted that the implementation of the Action Plan for the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan will contribute to the expansion of bilateral relations. Having shared his views on the prospects for cooperation between the two countries, the Minister of Economy invited Uzbek businessmen to work together.
Mikayil Jabbarov informed about the aggressive policy of Armenia and the latest provocations against Azerbaijan, the terrorist and war crimes committed by Armenia, the successful counter-offensive operations of Azerbaijan to ensure the security of citizens and the liberation of Azerbaijani lands from occupation within the framework of international law.
M. Jabbarov expressed appreciation for the ambassador's visits to cities and regions where war crimes were committed in the form of artillery and rocket attacks on civilians and facilities. He thanked Uzbekistan for moral support.
Bakhrom Ashrafkhanov noted that he would spare no efforts to expand economic ties between two countries and stated that Azerbaijan is waging a patriotic war and Uzbekistan supports the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan within the framework of UN resolutions.
The parties discussed issues of expanding trade and economic ties, public-private partnership, holding mutual exhibitions and other issues.
