On October 26, a memorial day was held for the martyred employee of the Ministry of Economy Asef Nasibov and a memorial plaque was unveiled in the administrative building of the Vocational Education Center under Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park LLC.
First, the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was sounded, and a minute of silence was observed in memory of our martyrs who laid down their lives for the Motherland.
Deputy Minister of Economy Niyazi Safarov stressed that because of the victory in the 44-day Patriotic war, our lands were liberated from the grasp of the enemy, and that the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Mr. Ilham Aliyev and the brave Azerbaijani Army presented this great Victory to our people. It was noted at the event that in the Patriotic War, which began on September 27, our people rallied more tightly around the Supreme Commander-in-Chief. Tens of thousands of young Azerbaijanis with high patriotism have applied for voluntary departure to the front. Every citizen of Azerbaijan, regardless of age and profession, made every effort to liberate our lands. 141 employees from the Ministry of Economy also took part in the Patriotic War, where our colleague Asef Nasibov was martyred.
Asef Nasibov was a voluntary participant in the Patriotic War, fought heroically during the liberation of Jabrayil, Gubadli and Lachin regions, and became a martyr in battles in the direction of Gubadli-Lachin. Asef Nasibov was awarded the medals “For the Motherland”, “For the liberation of Jabrayil”, “For the liberation of Gubadli”, “For the liberation of Lachin” and “For Military Service” for courage and bravery by the relevant decrees of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Asef Nasibov’s father Safarali Nasibov noted that martyrs have never been forgotten and families of martyrs have always been surrounded with attention and care, emphasizing that we are proud of our heroes.
