Today is the birthday of the Patriotic War martyr Asaf Nasibov.

Visiting the grave of the martyr in Gazakh region, employees of the Ministry of Economy paid tribute to his memory.

Asaf Safarali oglu Nasibov was born on February 25, 1994 in the village of Gaymagli of Gazakh, and completed the Azerbaijan State Oil Academy with a degree in Chemical Engineering.

Asaf Nasibov took the position of a Senior Specialist at Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park LLC under the Ministry of Economy. In a short time, he distinguished by his expertise and diligence, and gained the affection of the team with his ethics and discipline.

From 2015 to 2016 he served in the army, took part in the battles of April 2016.

Upon submission of an application for voluntary departure to the front, Asaf Nasibov was called up for military service in the early days of the Patriotic War. Asaf Nasibov, a vivid example of the Azerbaijani youth’s devotion to the people, state and land, an example for the future generations with pride for the nation, participated in the battles for the liberation of Jabrayil, Gubadli and Lachin regions, and on October 29, he heroically died in battles in the Gubadly-Lachin direction.

For his bravery and valor in battles, Asaf Nasibov was awarded medals "For the Motherland", "For the liberation of Jabrayil", "For the liberation of Gubadli", "For the liberation of Lachin" and “For military services” by the relevant orders of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
