Employees of Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park LLC took part in international scientific and practical conference named “The role of engineering in innovative development of Azerbaijan: Aims and perspectives” held on November 29, 2019 under the joint arrangement of  the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Baku Engineering University (BEU).

The conference was attended by international experts, representatives of the public and private sectors, universities, as well as the primary bodies of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS).

Director of Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park LLC Nazim Talibov talked about industrial parks created in accordance with the industrialization policy implemented in our country, as well as their impact on the development of the country's economy. It was noted that the establishment of industrial parks with modern production infrastructure is aimed at the implementation of state policy envisaging development of industrial sectors in the country, balanced development of the country's economy, as well as development of production areas and its innovative direction.

It was noted that the main goal of cooperation between Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park LLC and Baku Engineering University is to provide students with quality education, develop students as professionals in their field of specialization, form their practical skills, ensure their future employment, provide enterprises with direct access to universities, involve experienced engineers in the educational process, apply scientific and technological innovations in industry and other similar areas, create new opportunities for both students and companies.

Then the conference continued its work with a plenary session.

Note that Baku Engineering University and Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park LLC signed a Memorandum of Understanding on December 20, 2018.
