Azerbaijani, Belarusian delegations explore Aghdam Industrial Park

As part of their visit to Azerbaijan’s Aghdam district, Co-Chairs of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Belarus — Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Samir Sharifov and Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Natalia Petkevich — visited the Aghdam Industrial Park.

 

The officials were briefed on the operations of enterprises operating within the industrial park, as well as on the permanent jobs created there.

 

Established under the Decree of the President of Azerbaijan dated May 28, 2021, the Aghdam Industrial Park aims to revive the liberated territories, enhance the industrial potential of the Garabagh region, support entrepreneurship, and increase employment in the production sector. The park covers an area of 190 hectares, with over 292 million manats invested to date. Out of a total of 35 enterprises, 31 have been registered as residents and 4 as non-residents.
