A delegation led by Patrick Loszewski, Executive Director for the IMF Constituency including Azerbaijan, visited the Aghdam Industrial Park, which is managed by the Economic Zones Development Agency.

The delegation was informed that, to date, 32 business entities have been granted resident status and 5 entrepreneurs have been granted non-resident status at the Aghdam Industrial Park. Entrepreneurs have invested 145.8 million manats in projects implemented within the park, resulting in the creation of nearly 1,000 permanent jobs. Priority in employment is given to residents of Aghdam and the surrounding districts.

Currently, 13 enterprises are operating at the Aghdam Industrial Park. Total product sales by entrepreneurs have amounted to 1.4 billion manats, of which 62.3 million manats accounted for exports.

As part of the visit, IMF representatives toured the tobacco manufacturing facility of “Tabaterra” LLC, one of the resident companies of the Aghdam Industrial Park, and were briefed on its production process.
