As a result of the determination of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Ilham Aliyev, and the valour of the victorious Azerbaijan Army, the counter-offensive operations carried out in the fall of 2020 cleared the occupied territories of our country from the hostile army, put an end to the occupation, and Azerbaijan won a great victory in the Patriotic War. In the 44-day war, our heroic soldiers and officers, at the cost of their lives and blood, won a historic Victory and made the world to know their high combat skills.

By the order of the President, another group of service members of the Armed Forces was awarded for their courage in the Patriotic War. Among them are 49 employees of the Ministry of Economy. So, 3 employees of the Economy Ministry, 23 employees of the State Tax Service under the Ministry, 12 employees of the State Service for Property Issues, 4 employees of the State Service for Antimonopoly Policy and Consumer Market Control, 6 employees of Tamiz Shahar OJSC and 1 employee of Azerlottery OJSC was awarded medals.

Note that a total of 131 employees of the Ministry of Economy took part in the Patriotic War, and 86 of them were awarded various medals.

An employee of the Ministry of Economy who took part in the armed hostilities is the martyr Asaf Nasibov. By the orders of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, our heroic colleague was awarded medals “For the Motherland”, “For the Liberation of Jabrayil”, “For the Liberation of Gubadly”, “For the Liberation of Lachin” and “For Military Service”.
