In respect of the industrialization policy of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, modern industrial enterprises and new production areas are being created in our country, which significantly increases the share of local products in meeting domestic demand and extends our export opportunities. One of such enterprises is Azmonbat LLC, which was opened in Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park on September 3 with the participation of the President.
On September 7, a group of media representatives, organized by the Ministry of Economy, got acquainted with the activities of the Azmonbat LLC’s enterprise for lead-acid batteries recycling. Media representatives were notified that Azmonbat LLC was registered as a resident of the Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park on January 21, 2020. At the plant with a total investment value of 25 million manat, obsolete lead-acid batteries are recycled, resulting in propylene and high density polyethylene, lead ingots, lead active mass and ammonium sulfate solution. The plant can recycle 30,000 tons of batteries per year. This is an average of 800,000 batteries, from which 15,000 tons of lead and 4,500 tons of fertilizers can be obtained. The two-shift production process is carried out without damage to the environment and fully complies with environmental standards. Organization of obsolete lead-acid batteries recycling is also a special environmental project.
The products manufactured at the enterprise, which employs 100 people, will meet the needs of the domestic market and will be exported to Turkey, Bulgaria and the CIS countries.
Note that residents of industrial parks are exempt from property tax, land tax, income tax or profit tax for 10 years from the date of registration, VAT on the import of machinery, technological equipment and devices imported for production purposes, and customs duties for 7 years. Azmonbat LLC has so far saved 1 million manats on expenses by taking advantage of tax and customs privileges applied in the Industrial Park.
