A delegation representing various higher education institutions of the Republic of Türkiye visited the Sumgait Industrial Park.

During their visit to Azerbaijan, the delegation met at the Sumgait Industrial Park, which is managed by the Economic Zones Development Agency under the Ministry of Economy.

Chairman of the Agency's Board, Seymur Adigozalov, provided the delegation with detailed information about the Agency’s activities, the comprehensive measures implemented to develop industrial zones in the country, and the favorable business and investment environment created for local and foreign investors.

It was noted that tax and customs incentives applied to residents of industrial zones, ready infrastructure, logistics capabilities, and state support mechanisms make a significant contribution to the development of the non-oil sector, increasing export potential, and creating new jobs.

The meeting also discussed opportunities for expanding cooperation between higher education institutions and industrial enterprises, implementing joint research and innovation projects, as well as developing human capital and knowledge exchange.

Afterwards, the delegation toured enterprises operating within the Sumgait Industrial Park and became acquainted with the production processes on site. The guests were informed in detail about the organization of production, quality control mechanisms, and export opportunities at the facilities of “Kartash Kimya” LLC and “Azerfloat” CJSC.

The delegation highly appreciated the favorable business environment and modern infrastructure established in the Sumgait Industrial Park and emphasized the importance of such industrial zones in expanding regional economic cooperation.
