The Azerbaijan–Israel Business Forum was held in Baku, focusing on the expansion of economic ties between the two countries and the exploration of new partnership opportunities.
The forum was organized with the support of the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel, and jointly hosted by the Export and Investment Promotion Agency of Azerbaijan (AZPROMO), the Embassy of Israel in Baku, the Manufacturers Association of Israel, and the Israel Export Institute. The event brought together officials from both countries, along with representatives of more than 100 companies operating in sectors such as manufacturing, construction, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, technology, water supply and management, transport and logistics, cybersecurity, banking, tourism, and other industries.
Speaking at the forum, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov emphasized that cooperation between Azerbaijan and Israel is built on mutual trust. He noted that high-level contacts play a key role in strengthening bilateral relations and highlighted that, within the framework of the World Economic Forum held in Davos last week, a meeting took place between the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Israel to discuss issues on the bilateral agenda.
A broad and mutually beneficial partnership has been established between Azerbaijan and Israel. At the same time, significant potential exists to further enhance cooperation in areas such as energy, trade, investment, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, transport, and other sectors. Minister Jabbarov provided information on Azerbaijan’s attractive investment climate and the opportunities created for investors, expressing confidence that the discussions held during the forum would contribute to the implementation of new initiatives and the deepening of business relations.
Israel’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gideon Saar, praised the dynamic development of Azerbaijan–Israel relations and underscored the importance of expanding direct contacts between the business communities of the two countries. He stressed the need to intensify regular dialogue and increase joint projects to further deepen economic cooperation.
Executive Director of AZPROMO Yusif Abdullayev highlighted the role of such events in strengthening economic cooperation with Israel and emphasized their contribution to the development of sustainable business partnerships.
During the forum, representatives of the Alat Free Economic Zone, the Economic Zones Development Agency, and AZPROMO delivered presentations on Azerbaijan’s role as a strategic business hub in the Caspian region, opportunities available in industrial zones, and the country’s investment potential. The Head of the Investment and Economic Analysis Department of the Economic Zones Development Agency also provided information on the incentives offered to investors in industrial zones and outlined the agency’s key areas of activity.
Within the framework of the forum, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of Azerbaijan and the Manufacturers Association of Israel.
B2B and B2G meetings were also organized as part of the event.
