On October 16, a delegation led by Chen Zhiyong, President of SAREC (Shenzhen Regional Economic Cooperation and Promotion Association, China), visited Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park.

Director of Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park LLC Nazim Talibov informed the guests about operating in the country industrial parks, as well as about favorable conditions created for entrepreneurs, modern infrastructure, the services provided for residents, and the benefits applied. It was noted that at the moment there are 5 industrial parks in the country. They are Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park, Mingachevir Industrial Park, Garadagh Industrial Park, Pirallahi Industrial Park and Balakhani Industrial Park. Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park LLC, which functions under the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, is a managing organization of Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park, Mingachevir Industrial Park, Garadagh Industrial Park and Pirallahi Industrial Park. As a result of conditions created by the state in industrial parks, there is a growing interest of local and foreign entrepreneurs. To date, 27 residents have been registered in 4 industrial parks. 17 residents have already begun production. The products of industrial parks along with the domestic market are exported to world markets under the trade mark “Made in Azerbaijan”.

The President of the Shenzhen Regional Economic Cooperation and Promotion  Association Chen Zhiyong informed about the activities of the Association headed by him, expressed his interest in developing relations with Azerbaijan, and shared his vision of the prospects for cooperation with industrial parks in different areas. Chen Zhiyong presented a master plan of joint Azerbaijani-Chinese industrial park, the establishment of which is planned in our country.
